Welcome to FloridaGeocaching.com. Geocaching (pronounced geo-cashing) is an entertaining adventure game for GPS receiver users. People and organizations have placed caches all over the world and share the locations of these caches on the internet. GPS users can then use the location coordinates to find the caches. Once found, a cache may provide the visitor with a wide variety of rewards. All the visitor is asked to do is if they get something they should try to leave something for the cache. Sign the log and then log the find at Geocaching.com.
This site was designed as a personal website for us as well as a place to share information about geocaching.

Cache #1000
We had a great vacation in Las Vegas, Nevada and saved #1000 for our visit here. We did quite a few virtuals on the Las Vegas Strip and got the milestone with the 4 Corners Cache, a webcam cache. And we were able to add one more state to our list of states we have cached in.

Our visit to Red Rock Canyon
Cache #900
We spent the weekend in Siesta Key for our annual getaway as we celebrated our 26th Anniversary together! Of course we had to do some caching! We found #900 on September 3rd, 2006 as we did Beau-tree-ful Sarasota Attraction. This was a nice spot even though we dodged the drizzling rain most of the day.

Kipkay plays GeoTech for a day!

On August 28th,2006, Kipkay was a GeoTech for Playtimeinc as they did a team building event for Microsoft at Disney's Epcot Center in Orlando. In attendance were a number of local geocachers and some of the state's finest including; Florida's #1 team of legna and sOulbAit, Burgi Dad & Yuzawa Kat, JerseyGirl, Cixelsyd, 2LuknF8, Lehigh Mafia, Blue Man and others. We helped a group of about 280 Microsoft employees learn about Geocaching as we went from cache to cache at Epcot. After the event we all had park hopper passes so we did the virtual caches at MGM, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Epcot. It was a great time! Check out the pictures on the photo page.
Cache #800
A day of caching with our good friends the Cramcrackers and in celebration of Kipkay's birthday resulted in find #800! We chose the Coachman Falls cache because of it's cool sculptures and a nice hide. Kipkay found a digital camera laying in the bushes that was all wet but eventually dried out and works perfectly!

Cache #700
Another forever memorable milestone was achieved on September 6th, 2005. Not only was this our 25th anniversary but we also scored this one while we were on our vacation in San Francisco! It was also our first out of Florida milestone! But we're not done yet! One of our Travel Bugs, "Marty Mouse" made it to here and we came to pick him up and bring him back to Florida to start another journey. We also dropped of a TB, "California Cat" that we picked up in Florida. Check out the Anniversary Milestone picture page.
Our 'chilly' way to spell out '700'. It
was cold at the top of that hill!
Cache #600
Another great event and another milestone all in one day! The Survivors event in Port Charlotte was one of the best events we have been to! We racked up some caches, met some great people, ate some food, played games and reached milestone #600!
Our weird way to spell out '600'.
Cache #500
What a great time we had at GeoWoodstock 3. Over 500 people attended this worldwide event with cachers as far away as Germany and Sweden in attendance! We arrived on Friday and attended the Meet and Greet. Many familiar faces and plenty of new ones too! The big event was on Saturday with great food, prizes, games and of course caches throughout Hanna Park. On Sunday we cached all day as we headed back home! 2 milestones in 2 days! We logged our 500th find as the GW3 event!

Cache #400
We grabbed our 400th find, May 27th, on the way to GeoWoodstock 3 in Jacksonville Florida. We chose the Off Your Rocker in Baseball City cache because we were hungry and baseball is Kipkay's favorite sport!

Cache #300
Well we wasted no time getting our 300th find and what a memorable event! On February 2nd, we had the priviledge, along with our pal rayiam, of being interviewed by WTSP-Channel 10 for a news story on Geocaching!

They interviewed us, talked about Geocaching and then followed us around as we cached! We chose Seminole Park Too? placed by our good friends Cramcrackers as #300. Rayiam chose one of our caches, Short Stop, and accomplished that one with ease.

Central Florida New Year's GeoBash
Our first Geo event held at Boca Ciega Millenium Park in Seminole, Florida on January 22nd, 2005 was a tremendous success! 140 people attended and we had a great time getting to know each other. We had cachers from Alaska, England and across the state of Florida! Zatoichi, a member of Team Rebellion, shared with us their amazing story of breaking the 24 hour cache record this past October and we raffled off over 60 door prizes and prize packages! The tremendous generosity of geocachers was evident as hundreds of items were dropped off to benefit ASAP Homeless Services of St. Petersburg and $379 in raffle tickets were sold with all proceeds going to ASAP. We are very thankful for all of the sponsors of this event; Timberland, Bill Jackson's, Village Inn, Garmin, "The Essential Guide to Geocaching", GeocacheTreasure.com, Expert GPS software, Groundspeak, Great Plains Geocache Store, "Geocaching for Dummies", "GPS Made Easy" and "The Complete Guide to Geocaching" DVD. Thanks to everyone who attended and we will see you next year for GeoBash 2!
Cache #200
We now have our 200th find completed before the end of 2004 on New Years Eve. What an appropriate way to do it too! We chose the cache Where's My Name?? and found Mindles name not on one sign but on two side-by-side! We cached today along with Cramcrackers. Now on to 300!
Cache #100
We have recently completed our 100th find . This was alot of fun because on our quest we did three by pwc's to get us to 98. We took Tourboy (1/2 of Tourboy & Poki) with us because he loves jetskiing as much as we do. A 58 mile round trip in Tampa Bay to the Dolphin Island Cache, then to South Tampa Island cache and our final stop at Sky's View of the Port. The next day we did a quick and easy one, Cade's Choice and then on to our final multi-cache The Great Race. This one had us back to one of our favorite spots on the suncoast. It was a warm day and finding #100 was nice goal to reach.

Our weird way to spell out '100'. Okay, it was my idea.
